WINTER IS COMING

Do your diligence to come before winter…

Dear Believer,

Winter is restrictive.

Snow. Snowstorm. Cold winds and impassable roads.

Winter isn’t a good time to travel.

Paul wanted Timothy to come visit him, but made sure to tell him to do all he could to come before winter.

The journey was long, and the road crooked. Normally, the traveler was in peril of robbers and thieves. Traveling during winter made the journey even much worse.

Only a fool planned his journey for the winter.

We can do many things any time, but they are easier done at certain times.

Jesus warned the Jews:

Mark 13:18 KJ2000
And pray you that your flight be not in the winter.

He was telling them to flee at the first sign of trouble. If they got caught in the winter, escape would be nigh impossible.

This is a message to the Believer: winter is coming.

If you are enjoying the summer of your life or ministry or family or relationship, do what you need to do now. Do not procrastinate.

Now that you can pray, do it.

Now that you have peace, prepare for war. Now that you have the strength to work in the Kingdom, do it. No one trains for battle in the battlefield. The indolent gets swallowed by violence.

Winter is coming, and it is overwhelming. You will not always be young. You will not always have the time for the things you can do now. These opportunities may not be always available; maximize them now.

The wise prepares for the winter during the summer. This is common sense. The winter time will be either a time of rest or a time of restlessness. It depends on how prepared you are.

Be the wise Believer. Prepare for the winter.
