WHO SHALL ROLL THE STONE AWAY FOR US?

Dear Believer,

Let’s imagine ourselves with some female disciples of Jesus on that Sunday morning on their way to where He was buried.

Mark 16:2-3 KJV
And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?

The tomb was covered with a round slab of rock that two women could never have rolled away by themselves. Actually it would have taken several strong men to move this stone an inch. More than that, the government had placed a seal on that stone that made any form of tampering illegal and punishable by death.

These women knew all that, but still went ahead to try to minister to the body of Jesus that was buried there. That is faith!

The question these women asked is still being asked by many today concerning ‘trapped blessings.’ You know that your ‘breakthrough’ has been released by the Lord, but some forces are holding it and contending with you for it.

“Who shall roll the stone away for us?”

Then the surprise!

And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

One moment they were looking around in exasperation for some power to roll the stone away for them. They fully expected to get to the tomb and meet the stone at its entrance.

But the next moment they found out the stone had already been rolled away.

How did it happen?

Matthew gave us the true picture.

Mathew 28:2-4 KJV
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

Angels in action!

Some challenges may seem insurmountable, but none can be as impossible as the force trying to keep Jesus from resurrecting. Yet it was broken. When it was time for Jesus to emerge from that tomb, the angels didn’t play around.

I’m sure those guards thought they were pretty tough. They would have easily dealt with those women and felt like real warriors.

But when the angels showed up, the power that emitted from them knocked these tough guys unconscious.

This is another first day of the week like that day of the Resurrection. What stone has the devil placed against your blessing? Today, you are experiencing the ministry of no-nonsense angels. Those stones are being rolled away in the name of Jesus.

Nothing moves without power. You may think that you are powerless, but as a believer, you have access to God’s power. When God sends His angels, they come with unmatched strength.

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength…

When it’s time to destroy hindrances, angels don’t play around.

This morning I’m agreeing with you by faith, that every stone blocking your progress – stones that you think you cannot move by yourself, will be moved today on your behalf by the Lord’s angels.

Pray with me:
I pray in the name of Jesus that every stone of hindrance and limitation be broken in your life. In the name of Jesus, let God’s angels that excel in strength knock down all demonic guard standing as sentries on your way of advancement. Let the resurrection power of Jesus give life to every weak, dying or dead aspect of your destiny in the name of Jesus. You are free indeed!
