WALKING IN THE RESURRECTION POWER

Ephesians 1:18-20 KJ2000
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he performed in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.

Dear Believer,

The first requirement for purposeful motion and growth in the Spirit is sight. You must see clearly before you can move purposefully. Using Paul’s words, the eyes of your understanding must be enlightened before you can know why you are called.

Not only that, spiritual sight helps you to know the greatness of the power of God towards you. The Holy Spirit is in you, but until you receive understanding by spiritual sight, you will not experience the richness of your divine inheritance. You may be groping in the dark looking for what you have been given.

Paul the apostle says you must have your spiritual eyes enlightened so that you may, among other things, experience the working of God’s mighty power which He exercised when He raised Jesus from the dead. That is the power of the Resurrection.

The reason too many Believers are so weak and confused is that they haven’t learned how to walk in the power of the Resurrection. All they can see is the picture of Jesus on the cross. They even have the pictures of a man hanging on the cross in their house, which they call Jesus. The Resurrection isn’t as real to them as the crucifixion.

The mission of Jesus on earth didn’t stop at the cross. The Resurrection is what stands at the very centre of our faith. It represents the failure of Satan and the eternal victory of Jesus over sin, death and hell.

Our spiritual sustenance, our spiritual defence, all derive from the power of the Resurrection.

A Believer cannot walk in victory until He starts to consciously walk in the Resurrection power of Jesus. That is why Paul counted everything he ever achieved as dung so that he could know Christ and the power of the Resurrection. (Read Philipians 3:7-10)

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death…

Knowing Christ is one thing, knowing His Resurrection power is another thing. Fellowshipping with His surferings is yet another thing.

When we lead people to Christ, or pray for the sick, or minister revival to individuals, or intercede, or heal a sick and broken relationship, it is the power of the Resurrection that makes anything work. The power that raised Jesus from the dead will bring anything dead and dying back to life.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also bring to life your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.

God brought Jesus back to life by the power of the Holy Spirit. That same Spirit is inside of every Believer.

Seek to see and understand the purpose and the presence of that power of the Resurrection inside of you. That is the force that broke the devil’s back and rendered him impotent. That is the power that took the sting from death and the victory from hell. (1Corinthians 15:55).

Paul declared on the Corinthians not only the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, but also the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. (1Corinthians 13:14). He is the power that worked out and sustained the Resurrection of Jesus, and He is the power that will sustain our salvation and victory in every sphere.

You shall experience the fullness of the power in the name of Jesus.
