VICTORY THROUGH JESUS
As a Believer, you are never going to mature to the point where you won’t need God’s Spirit.
1Corinthians 15:57 KJV
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear Believer,
It is becoming more common for some preachers and their followers to say that God has no interests in certain aspects of our life.
For instance, there are those who preach that who you marry is none of God’s concern. Others say God has no interest in how you make money.
One said, “God has given us a brain to think so that we don’t have to bother Him again.” In other words, God has generally left us to our own devices and doesn’t care how we decide on certain issues.
That isn’t true.
As a Believer, you are never going to mature to the point where you won’t need God’s Spirit.
When Jesus came to earth, He fulfilled His ministry only through the leading of the Holy Spirit. He had total victory over all the works of the devil. He didn’t just think things through; He received instructions from God.
John 5:19 KJV
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
That is the secret of victory in a Believer’s life.
Our focus scripture for today says God gives us victory through Jesus Christ. This means our victory comes from Jesus, and we shouldn’t look elsewhere.
When you are sick, your victory will not come from pills, it will come from Jesus. When you are faced with a challenge that seems to be mightier than you are, your victory won’t come from manipulating the situation, but from Jesus.
Many Believers only consider Jesus after everything else fails. That is usually a waste of time.
Some Believers say things like, “You see, there’s nothing special about this situation. This has nothing to do with God. I’m able to deal with this because I applied some principles. Those who aren’t Christians also handle this kind of situation successfully.”
That’s an error. The day you start to compare yourself with those without Christ and then conclude that you are no different from them is the day your faith ceases to mean anything to the devil. If it seems the unbeliever gets along just well without God, that doesn’t mean you should try to do so. There are things you don’t know about them. Just stick to Christ.
The Believer’s triumph is in Christ. Hear Him. Serve Him. love Him and believe Him always.
2Corinthians 2:14 KJV
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
He causes us to triumph in Christ. Always! And in Everything.
Meditate on this. Pray about it and walk in its reality.
Have a blessed day.
