THE PAINS OF BIRTH AND GROWTH

THE PAINS OF BIRTH AND GROWTH

To every Believer I say, spiritual growth is your responsibility. Remaining a child when you are supposed to grow up has grave consequences.

John 16:21 KJV
A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

Dear Believer,

One of the most beautifully rewarding experiences I ever had was being present during my children’s birth. I tell you, friend, nothing underlines a woman’s ‘superhumaness’ as the process of childbirth.

But before childbirth there is pregnancy with all its attendant roller coaster feelings. A woman goes through a serious and prolonged upheaval during pregnancy.

And then a child is born.

After that, the work of raising a child starts. And no matter how you see it, it isn’t an easy task.

There is a parallel between the physical process of birthing and raising a child, and the spiritual.

This whole process can be frustrating unless you have help. If you are a parent, a pastor, or a leader in some organization where the leadership is somewhat spiritual, you understand what I am saying.

Paul said this concerning the Galatians:

Galatians 4:19 KJV
My children, for whom I am having birth pains again, until Christ is formed in you!

The Galatians were believers who gave Paul a lot of trouble again and again. They made him go through the painful process of childbirth repeatedly.

Some Believers are like that.

Today, my word word goes out to you as a Believer. Understand that when you live a life that is unstable and carnal, you are giving some people serious birth pangs. And the pain is real.

My word also goes to leaders. Never stop praying for unstable people and do not ever react in the flesh to their fleshly actions or words. Flesh cannot subdue flesh. Always respond spiritually to carnal display of immaturity.

To every Believer I say, spiritual growth is your responsibility. Remaining a child when you are supposed to grow up has grave consequences.

Rise up and take responsibilities for your spiritual life.

Have a great day.

Your friend,
Deon.
