THE KINGDOM FUNCTIONS BY POWER

THE KINGDOM FUNCTIONS BY POWER

This message is important at this time when insecurity is becoming a very present force in many places. We must recognize, acknowledge, appreciate and appropriate the ministry of angels.

1Corinthians 4:20 KJV
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Dear Believer,

Take a moment to observe what the world has become. The pressure is piling on. Trouble upon trouble. New strains of old diseases. Old, forgotten viruses reappearing. Society is getting it’s mind manipulated by false information constantly oozing from the largely antichrist media.

To confront all these, many Believers are trying to employ the wisdom of the world to change things. They are trying to use the world’s style to compete with the world.

Believer, we belong to a Kingdom whose principles are not compatible with the kingdom of the world. You can’t beat them at their own game; if you must win, you will have to bring in a superior weapon.

When Paul was absent from the Corinthian church, many shallow men wormed their way into the leadership of the church and the hearts of the people.

What was their qualification?

They were smooth talkers who knew how to use words to make friends and influence people. They weren’t men of depth and they weren’t men of power. They started to undermine true doctrine and water down the principles on which the church was built.

Paul wrote to that church about these shallow speakers:

1Corinthians 4:19
But I will come to you quickly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those arrogant speakers, but the power.

Okay, fine speaker, let’s see your Kingdom credentials. Can you stand when the hordes of darkness come with their firepower? Will you step on those serpents and scorpions? The Kingdom of God doesn’t consist of empty words, says the apostle. It is the power that counts.

Listen friend, one of the greatest dangers the church is facing today is the wave of words from the world, based on worldly principles and directed at the church, designed to replace the authentic Word and the power of God.

Whole congregations are being built on humanistic principles. Socialism, feminism, individualism, universalism, and all sorts of ‘isms.’ I call them all ‘nonsensism.’ In many places these have been mixed with the word of God and being fed to ignorant congregants.

Many pulpits have been turned to political platforms by preachers who have shifted their focus from the Kingdom of God to the Kingdom of this world.

The kingdom of God does not function on ‘isms’ and fancy theories beautifully presented by orators on pretty platforms. The Kingdom functions on divine Word and power that saves the sinner, heals the sick and humiliates the devil.

2Timothy 4:3-4 KJV
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Believer, don’t be among those with the itching ears. THE WORD OF GOD IS ENOUGH!

God’s Word does not mix well with human opinions and theories. The power of God doesn’t mix with the politics of men. You will have to make your choice, at some point, between the mere words of men and the Power of the Kingdom.

You are a Believer, so the choice is obvious.

May you enter into deeper experiences of divine Word and Power in the name of Jesus.

Have a great day!

Your friend,
Deon.
