THE FOOLISHNESS OF FLESHLY ACTIONS

THE FOOLISHNESS OF FLESHLY ACTIONS

See, you can’t complete in the flesh what you started in the Spirit. You can’t finish by unbelief what you started by faith.

Galatians 3:3 KJV
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Dear Believer,

Here’s a simple counsel: let God finish what He started in your life.

By nature, human beings love to struggle. It is natural for us to want to feel in charge of our situations. The problem is, there’s only so much we can do. In the things that really matter, we are sometimes helpless.

And this is where divine grace comes in for the Believer. You didn’t save yourself Jesus did. You can’t heal yourself; you need the faith of Jesus for that.

Once God starts to work in your life, it is futile to struggle. You don’t need to prove a point to anyone.

Yes, there are things God expects you to do. Faith is not synonymous with indolence. However, no believer should attempt to do what only God can do.

The Galatians were saved by grace. After a while, they got sucked into religious legality. They started to manage their salvation by themselves. “Don’t touch this’ ‘Dont eat this.’ ‘Circumcise yourself.so that God can be pleased.’

At this point, they had taken upon themselves the role that only God could play in their lives.

See, you can’t complete in the flesh what you started in the Spirit. You can’t finish by unbelief what you started by faith.

If God has given you a word, all you need to do is your part. Don’t attribute God’s role or ability to yourself. He is great, wise and powerful enough to fulfill his word.

God had told Abraham that he would have a son. At some point he took over from God and decided, on being advised by his wife, to hasten things up. Father Abraham had sexual relations with his wife’s maid and had Ishmael. That wrong choice is still tormenting the world today.

Abraham wanted to complete in the flesh what God initiated by the Spirit.

Some hear God on something concerning their life. instead of letting Him lead them, they take off with speed with not enough divine instruction and mess everything up.

God could lead a young person into a relationship. Instead of listening to God’s plan, he or she may allow the lusts of the flesh to take over and mess everything up.

God may lead another person into a business. He may afterwards start to depend entirely on his smartness or skills. He starts to believe that He is having success because he is smart. That is the beginning of failure for many.

It seems man can always be trusted to mess up whatever God is trying to work in his favor. But you are a Believer. Walk by faith and let God make His will manifest in your life.

Pray. Let patience mingle with your faith. (Hebrews 6:12). Don’t try to swim across the Red Sea even if you’re the best swimmer ever; God has a better plan.

The just must live by faith, not by force!

Have a blessed day.

Your friend,
Deon.
