THE DIVINE PAVILION
Jesus is THE Rock. You are safe in Him. If troubles come for you as you stay in that Rock, the trouble is doomed. If the Rock comes against that trouble, the result is the same.
Psalm 27:5 KJV
For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
Dear Believer,
Let me say this to you with a great emphasis: your heavenly Father is a Protector!
King David was one person who should know. He had more than his fair share of troubles. Should we talk about the troubles circumstances brought upon him, or the ones his enemies brought upon him, or the ones he brought upon himself?
One thing we know about David is that he trusted God absolutely. Here is what he said about troubles:
Psalm 34:19 KJV
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
“In the time of trouble he shall hide me in His pavilion,” says David. No one comes to this world without having times of trouble. Thank God we have the divine Pavilion. We cannot be stranded.
This is a matter of faith. David declared what he knew by faith. He declared the nature of God as the One Who protects His own.
There are Believers who face troubles with a defeatist mentality.
“How do I get out of this?” says one.
“I am finished,” says another.
“Where is God? How could He allow this?” another one says.
You see, unbelief digs the ditch deeper and wraps the chains tighter. Faith is the force that lifts people from the ditch and the miry clay and breaks the chains of bondage. You can only get under the pavilion of safety by believing in the God of the pavilion.
Yes, times of trouble shall come, but they shall go without hurting you.
“He shall set me upon a rock,” says David.

He is your Shelter in the time of storm.
Confess the power of your Heavenly Father to protect you even as fear and uncertainty is enveloping the world.
God knew this time would come. He had made provision for this time ever before it came. Nothing catches God unawares. So you have nothing to fear.
May you always experience the protection of the Almighty in the name of Jesus.
