SELF DEFENSE

Dear Believer,

Your Heavenly Father does not want you to tolerate evil at all. You must have nothing in common with the devil and you must not develop any familiarity with him or his works at all.

Here’s one way the Word of God puts it:

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 1 John 5:18.

Note this very well: the one who is born of God keeps, or guards himself so that the wicked one touch him not. There’s power in you bigger than Satan’s evil.

Some people have this touchy-feely relationship with the devil. He touches them whenever he feels like. He dumps his sins and sicknesses in their lives from time to time. They do not care to stand up to the bully called Satan. 

Note that you are the one to stop evil from touching you. The wicked one does not respect boundaries. He is a lawbreaker and a trespasser. When you notice him prowling around, you must resist him in the name of Jesus.

But that isn’t you, my Believer friend. You are born of God. To you has been delivered authority that the devil is afraid of.

Know this very well, dear Believer, that Jesus will not come to exercise that authority for you; it is your divine responsibility. If you keep mute and remain weak in the face of the devil’s provocations, he will have his way. If you listen to him and allow him to tempt you, you are going to sin. If you allow him to weaken you, he will have his way.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7.

You must have zero tolerance for the wicked one. His temptations must be resisted. Weakness, disease, sin, confusion, lack and any form of harassment must not be tolerated.
Resist evil with the Word of God and don’t give him even an inch in your life.

Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:27.

Authority is given you to be used. The enemy is defeated already.

Confidently exercise the divine authority over him by faith through the word of God and prayer.
