REFRESH YOUR BELIEVING

REFRESH YOUR BELIEVING

The bigness of the lies does not invalidate the truth that God still heals the sick, works miracles or speaks through His ministers

1 Corinthians 2:5 KJV

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Dear Believer,

Your faith shouldn’t be based on human criticism or observation. It is understandable when unbelievers say unwise things about the power of God or the faith because of those who claim to be Christians yet act devilishly. For a Believer, this should not be so.

There will always be that professing believer that disappoints. There will always be that pastor who sins. There will always be liars among those who claim to be speaking the truth for God.

And there will always be someone who performs fake miracles and speaks false prophecies in the name of God.

The bigness of the lies does not invalidate the truth that God still heals the sick, works miracles or speaks through His ministers

Many Believers need to refresh their believing. In the past, they used to believe in the manifestations of God’s power. Many have seen miracles in their own lives. Then as news after news began to circulate of ministers who were caught performing fake miracles, or of prophecies uttered with great confidence in the name of God that never came to pass, these believers began to cool off in their faith for the supernatural of God.

Men’s excesses and fakery don’t define God’s genuineness. Stick to what the Word has shown you and believe it.

Another reason people lose faith in God’s power is when those reputed for great power and the anointing of the Holy Spirit experience catastrophe or death.  The reason then goes thus, “If Apostle so-and-so, who I knew had great faith, could fall sick and die, this message of the supernatural must have a problem.” Doubt sets in and they start losing faith.

The Word of God is your compass, not human experience. There are things hidden to you. The Word is your instructor, not what happened to someone else.

Refresh your believing. Examine every doctrine of the Bible again and reacquaint yourself with them. God means whatever He has said. His promises are not ‘here and there’; they are ‘yes and amen.’ (2Corinthians 1:2)

Start praying again, if you’ve cooled off in your prayer life. Start giving again; there’s reward for it both here and eternally. Start winning souls again. Stir up your spirit and dare to believe again.

Romans 15:13 KJV

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Put your faith in the Word of God, not the wisdom of men.

Have a blessed day.

Your friend,

Deon.
