PROTECTION IS BETTER THAN RECOVERY
It is better to protect what you have and defend your territory than to run after a thief that has stolen something from you so that you can get it back.
1John 5:18 KJV
…He that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Dear Believer,
Basically all of the blessings you beg God for have been given to you. The death and the Resurrection of Jesus made that possible. He has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places.
Instead of begging for those blessings, you need to acknowledge that God has given them to you.
2Peter 1:3 KJV
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Having the most powerful weapons in the world right inside your home is not enough to defend you. You still have to take up those weapons and use them. It is possible to have a loaded gun in your living room while a petty thief armed only with a little stick breaks in and robs you as you are crying to your neighbors for help.
If you don’t acknowledge the weapons you have, you won’t use them; and if you don’t use them, you will be a victim.
Living in victory is not about receiving new blessings as it is about defending the blessings you already have. You have been blessed with so much, and you must understand how to defend and protect what has been given to you.
Jesus paid for your healing, prosperity, peace and a healthy relationship with God.
Rome 8:32 KJV
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Trouble comes when you let the old thief, Satan, steal what God has given you.
It is better to protect what you have and defend your territory than to run after a thief that has stolen something from you so that you can get it back. We say protection is better than cure. In this case, protection is better than recovery! All some people know how to do is recover what they lost. God wants you to have and keep.
That is why every Believer must know how to pray preventive and protective prayer and take hold of the Word of God to stand against the devil’s encroachment. As far as you are concerned, there must be a line the devil must never cross.
This means you will not allow any sign of evil around you, your home, in your body and in your life to grow or fester. You quickly take authority over it and insist it must leave in the name of Jesus. You stand your ground until the evil stench clears off.
This also means you don’t permit the diminishing of the good things God has blessed you with. You won’t coddle weakness or sickness. You won’t explain away some bad things happening around you as natural. You stand against such and insist on the will of God according to His word.
The Believer is a territorial being. It is impossible to grow and expand your coast if you haven’t even figured out how to keep it safe from marauders and robbers.
Protect your territory!
Pray and take action.
You are blessed!
Your friend,
Deon.
