MAKE THIS YOUR DAY

Dear Believer,

A day is what you make it. If you make it special, well, it becomes special; and if you make it ordinary, it becomes just ordinary. In Romans 14:5 we read that we have the capacity to esteem any day and make it special if we want. I want all my days to be special. I want to see each day as a gift from God. I may not wake up with a penny in my pocket, but I will show the world the loving-kindness of my God.

Psalm 118:24.
This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

David woke up one ordinary day. Maybe the day looked dull. The sky was misty and the winds howled mournfully. Everybody is complaining of one thing or the other. It was an ORDINARY day, but David prefixed it with EXTRA. The ordinary day became an extraordinary day for David. He shouted ‘THIS is THE day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!’ Others may be sad in it: it is their choice. But I will be glad in it. Others may choose to be down in it, but I will be up in it. Others may complain of evil, I will proclaim God’s goodness. I have made my choice. Today is a good day. Today is a day of opportunity. Today is my day!

Never let anybody spoil your day. Do not allow people to bring damaging gossip to your doorstep. Refuse to be discouraged. Draw from the strength of the Holy Spirit in you. Go out in the strength of the Lord and make the best of this day. Pursue opportunities. Go and prosper. Disallow sadness and embrace gladness. Make today and EXTRA-ordinary day.

This is the day that the Lord has made … FOR ME!

Father I receive the power to make each day a special one in my life. Thank you for the gift of the day. I move out in the strength of the Lord to conquer the day and make profit. Amen.
