LET THE WARMONGERS BE SCATTERED

Psalm 68:30 KJV
Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people…scatter thou the people that delight in war.

Dear Believer,

When you think about the wars that the world has experienced, you will, at some point, come to the conclusion that the decision to go to war was decided by a few people. It has always been about power, ego, politics and religion.

To have their way, these warmongers usually use subterfuge, misinformation, manipulation and outright lies. They sit in their safe places and urge other people to spill their blood for some cause.

These men, as the scripture above says, are ‘people that delight in war.’

They turn men to pawns and play them against themselves in their bloody game of chess.

And we should also understand that there is a spirit being that delights in war. Satan hates all men in equal measure and doesn’t care what tribe or nation you belong to.

When we understand this, we will be careful and be more watchful.

I’m writing this when Nigeria is under serious pressure. Much of this unrest is being stirred by those who would want the nation to burn down.

Believer, as you get involved in one way or the other, can you say you are acting on behalf of the Lord? Can you say your utterances, actions and participation are in accordance with the guidance of the Spirit of God?

Do not drink from the cup of anger that is being passed around. We may be dissatisfied with leadership. We may have to protest against injustice, but we have to understand that as Believers that our responsibility is to work for peace.

Let each of us pray without ceasing for this land. Let us ask God to scatter the people that delight in war and cause their intentions to come to naught.
