LET HIM GET BUSY IN YOU

LET HIM GET BUSY IN YOU

God isn’t just sitting down in heaven dozing on a massive throne; He is active through His Holy Spirit inside the Believer. He is busy in you!

Dear Believer,

There’s something I’ve noticed about the relationship many Believers have with God. They care more about what God should do for them than what God wants to do IN them.

“God give me this, O God give me that.” He has become to many nothing more than a God who merely exists to give things.

Christianity is an ‘inside-out’ faith. It doesn’t work ‘outside-in.’ This is in contrast to, say, Islam where you have to concentrate on outward rituals like washing your hands and face before you can pray.

God did not merely place the Holy Spirit on us. He has put His Spirit within us. That is why we see this in the scripture:

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13.

‘Worketh’ in this verse, in the original language, implies being operative, being active, applying power and aiding. That’s a lot for the Believer to draw from!

God isn’t just sitting down in heaven dozing on a massive throne; He is active through His Holy Spirit inside the Believer. He is busy in you!

You see, everything you are expecting from God will only be accomplished by the Holy Spirit. And for you, Believer, the Holy Spirit isn’t an impersonal force floating in the clouds and making people to feel good. He is an active person in you getting the will of God done through you.

God works in you ‘both to WILL and to DO His good pleasure.’ That spells the end of struggle for the Believer. It is an arrangement of submission where your life is wrapped up in the Spirit. His will becomes your will.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us… Ephesians 3:20.

God does it all according to the power that works in us. Thank God the Power isn’t just working in a few of us, or in the pastors or bishops only; He works in us all.

Christianity is not primarily a matter of doing, like most people seem to think; it is first a matter of being. What you do must be a natural result of who you are. That is why God forms us first from within before He releases us to manifest His works to the world.

All this must make us realize that we need to allow God’s Spirit to work within us.

Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God. Ephesians 4:30.

Quench not the Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:19.

We are warned against taking the Spirit for granted because He can be incapacitated in us when we do that. If He must work in us, we must let Him do so unhindered.

When He wills in you, don’t resist Him. When He guides you to do, don’t question or resist Him. He isn’t in us to be ordered around. He is in us to guide and lead in everything.

Say this:

Thank you Father for the Power that is always at work within me. I totally submit myself to the Holy Spirit. I do not resist Him. I do not disobey Him. By faith I follow His guidance. I do not grieve Him. I do not quench His fire. I embrace His powerful work and I grow in His power and grace in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

Have a beautiful weekend.

Your friend,
Deon.
