HEAVENLY STRATEGIES FOR EARTHLY BATTLES

For, though we live an earthly life, we do not wage an earthly war. The weapons for our warfare are not earthly, but, under God, are powerful enough to pull down strongholds.

Dear Believer,

The true Believer is living a very special life. He is living on Earth, but is not earthbound.

Jesus said of the Believer, “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” (John 17:16).

How can you be in a place and not be of that place?

Easy! I have been in other countries, but I knew I wasn’t a citizen of those countries. While walking on the streets of America and living there for a time, I knew I wasn’t an American.

I’m not of this world, even though I’m living for a while here. As a Believer, everything I do must be influenced by this consciousness.

So when it comes to confronting issues of life, a Believer must understand that even though he is here, he must not wage the war of life according to the principles of the system that runs this world.

Earth has an answer to your challenges, and heaven has an answer, too. The perspective of heaven is higher and better because it is of God. For the Believer, earthly circumstances must be managed through heavenly wisdom.

The Believer’s strategy for warfare is given by the Holy Spirit. When he is confronted by the evils that are natural to the world, be it in health, business, family life or relationship, he reaches to heaven and connects for divine communication. He receives direction.

The world’s people may use medicine to treat demonic attacks. They may try to motivate a man who is oppressed by demons of suicide out of his depression. The Believer sees beyond the natural. He understands that while many challenges of man are purely natural, some are spiritual and will only respond to spiritual weapons of warfare.

A Believer who belittles the reality of spiritual warfare is doing himself a great disservice. Those trying to use earthly principles to manage spiritual opposition are like an astronaut who is trying to breathe and walk in space without his spacesuit.

You are a Believer. You have the divine Life in you, and that life isn’t earthly. Do not let the cacophony of earthly sounds drown the voice of heaven in your life.

Always remember: heaven has something to say about that situation.

Remember also, there’s a heavenly strategy to win that war. Take time to pray and sit with the Word of God.

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the presence of the Holy Spirit in me that grants me access to the voice of God and heavenly strategies. I open my heart to know the will of God and receive divine strategies to win my battles in the name of Jesus. Amen.
