HE LIVES TROUGH ME!
After doing all the hard work, He simply transferred the benefits to us. We inherited his death, resurrection and glorification without having to suffer.
2Corinthians 5:15 KJ2000
And that he died for all, that they who live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto him who died for them, and rose again.
Dear Believer,
The Resurrection of Jesus created a new order of life. A whole new race of men emerged.
Traditionally, men had lived for themselves. It had been a matter of the survival of the fittest. The strong bully their way to the top and controlled the weak. That had been the story of mankind.
Then Jesus came and upturned the traditional cart. He brought about a change that was alien to the fallen nature of man. Men had lived selfishly. Men had taken advantage of others.
Then He came and died. Not for His own sin, for He had none. He died to reconcile everyone to God.
Now, Believer, the way to live is not by doing whatever your human nature desires. Now you must live for God.
Here’s the focus scripture again.
2Corinthians 5:15 KJ2000
And that he died for all, that they who live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto him who died for them, and rose again.
How does a man live unto himself? By focusing all his existence on his desires and ambition. This leaves out God and others. It is a selfish lifestyle that doesn’t care to make any sacrifice for the good of others or the service of God. You become the motive of your existence and even if you do any good, it is just another way to get something for yourself.
How does a man live unto God? It is simply by letting God live through you. That is what the Resurrection of Jesus made possible. The coming of the Holy Spirit and His subsequent residence in the Believer was made possible by the Resurrection of Jesus. As a Believer, the life you live isn’t yours; it is the life of Christ.
Galatians 2:20 KJ2000
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
That’s profound!
Christ’s death and resurrection became the most generous transaction that enriched mankind. Jesus suffered, died, resurrected and became glorified. After doing all the hard work, He simply transferred the benefits to us. We inherited his death, resurrection and glorification without having to suffer. We went through it all without ever having to go through it at all!
Romans 6:5-6 KJ2000
For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer serve sin.
We were crucified with Him without being at the cross at all. We resurrected in Him, too. What an extravagant gift!
Believer, you need to start reveling in the abundance of divine grace, if you haven’t been doing so. God has already granted you power and dominion over sin, diseases and all oppression of the devil. Jesus didn’t die for Himself. He didn’t resurrect for Himself. He didn’t send the Holy Spirit for Himself. It is all for you! He holds nothing back!
Let Him live through you. Let Him work through you. Live unto Him, and you will be a blessing to the world. Then you can truly say, “He lives through me!”
Have a great day.
Your friend,
Deon.
