HE DELIVERED YOU!

Colossians 1:13 KJV
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

Dear Believer,

Let’s be reminded today of one of the benefits the Life of Jesus has given ALL Believers.

The verse above says God the Father has delivered us from the power (or authority) of darkness and lifted us into the Kingdom of Jesus.

I do not think this can be put clearer. We are delivered!

This is to say the satanic kingdom has no hold over me and you. This means their ‘rights’ to harrass you and me do not exist. We don’t belong to the dark kingdom, so we cannot be a partaker of the corruption in there.

Then why do some Believers seem to be under bondage, evidently oppressed by the devil?

First thing to realize is that Satan isn’t a fair, just and honest fellow. The fact that he’s been defeated and that he knows your status as ‘delivered’ does not mean he would just let you live your life quietly. If you don’t learn to put him where he belongs, he’ll trespass into your territory and try to opress you.

Satan is called ‘the lawless one.’ He doesn’t care for rules. He wants to keep his prisoners in prison, even though they have been justified and the price of their crimes paid for. He wants to keep you in ignorance and make you believe a lie about yourself.

It is to the benefit of the devil that you believe yourself to be defeated and oppressed. It is to his benefit that you accept the fears he is projecting to you. It is to his benefit that you keep believing that your sins aren’t forgiven and that you are suffering because of them.

On the other hand, once you start to confess what Jesus has done for you and stand up to the devil, he will have to back off.

When demons come to try harrass you, do not start panicking and running around. They have crossed the line; they have come to the wrong place and person. You aren’t a toy to be kicked around by the devil. You are not under satan’s authority. Jesus has broken his influence in your life and given you total deliverance.

You cannot be free and be bound at the same time. So if you notice any work of the devil going on in your life, see it as a complete anomaly. You must enforce the freedom Jesus has given you.

Remember that He has given you authority over the world of the devil, (Luke 20:29) and he has given you everything you need to manifest divine life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).

So it isn’t God who’s going to come and stop the harrassment of the devil for you. You will have to use the authority given to you already.

Not only did he deliver you, He also empowered you. Rise up by faith and boldly use the authority He’s given you.

Tell Satan, “Enough! I am delivered according to the Word of God. You have no place in my life. Out now!”
