DON’T PAMPER THAT MOUNTAIN

DON’T PAMPER THAT MOUNTAIN

When a ‘mountain’ stands in your way and threatens your very existence, what do you do?

Mark 11:23 KJ2000
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he said.

Dear Believer,

When a ‘mountain’ stands in your way and threatens your very existence, what do you do?

Some speak ABOUT the mountain. “Oh, this problem is this and that. It is high and big and broad and deep…” They describe their mountain in vivid colors and paint it in 3-D.

The mountain is happy, and it remains.

Some speak FOR the mountain. They practically become the spokesperson of the problems they are facing. They tell others and even God why they think the problem is in their life. “Oh it is because I did this and that in 1982.” “I know I’m having this problem because my great grandfather was a wizard…”

They engage themselves in endless research about their mountain. The more they know about it, the more their fear increases and the stronger their mountain grows.

Tell these people they can overcome and they respond, “You don’t know what I am up against. This is the problem that killed my father and sister. You don’t know how powerful it is!”

Well, the mountain has an advocate in it’s victim, and it is happy. As they keep defending and magnifying it, It remains and grows.

Others speak WITH their mountain. Everyday they say things like, “Ha, you this problem, you will be the death of me. I’ve prayed and fasted and you still remain.” They have conversations with the mountain and the mountain keeps affirming their unbelief.

There are even those who empower the mountain. They do things that make their case worse. They disobey the Word of God, keep indulging in bad habits, sit down and do nothing and generally fertilize their problems.

And the mountain remains and grows.

And many OWN the mountain. They speak about it as theirs. “My problem is…” My sickness is…” Believer, don’t ever speak about those problems in possessive terms. They aren’t yours. For example, the Bible says Jesus took our infirmities and carried away our sicknesses. (Isaiah 53:4). Faith receives this as the truth and understands that “the evil that is taken away from me is no more mine to keep.”

Jesus tells the Believer to have only one kind of relationship with the mountain. Once you see it before you, it must start moving.

Don’t speak FOR the mountain.

Don’t speak WITH the mountain.

Don’t speak ABOUT the mountain.

Don’t empower it by any word or act.

Don’t OWN it.

Speak TO the mountain!

Read this again:

Mark 11:23 KJ2000
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he said.

Tell the mountain to move. Cast it into the ‘sea.’ Don’t doubt that it will move. What you SAY by faith will come to pass. The authority in the name of Jesus is backed by a mountain-moving power.

Don’t pamper the mountain; don’t research it. Just confront it and move it. Sickness, oppression, fear or whatever it is are all mountains that the devil keeps setting on the way of the Believer to bully and intimidate him. Jesus has told you how to handle the mountain.

No fooling around; move it. And don’t take ‘no’ for an answer.

Have a blessed day.

Your friend,
Deon.
