DIVINE IMMUNITY (2)

Dear Believer,

It is good to be a blessing to this world, but you must make sure you are not in the habit of doing good out of weakness.

Jesus went about doing good. (Acts 10:38). That’s good to hear and to emulate. However, before He did that, we read that He was ‘anointed with the Holy Ghost and power.’

Yes, He was helping people, but from a position of strength.

Many times in the Bible we read that He withdrew from His disciples and the larger society to pray. (Luke 5:16). It wasn’t an occasional thing; He treated such special times as absolutely necessary. At times, He ‘continued all night in prayer.’ (Luke 6:12).

Jesus didn’t live like that so that He could be the Son of God; He lived like that BECAUSE He was the Son of God. As a son of God yourself, you must live like the Son of God.

Dear Believer, your connection to the power of God must be absolute so that the power at work in you will respond to evil automatically even before you realize it. That was why someone who needed healing could touch Jesus and the power responded to heal her of 12 years of hemorrhaging without Jesus doing anything about it consciously. 

That is the way divine immunity works. Power goes out of you. It responds to infections and diseases sometimes without you knowing what is going on.

But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I know that power has gone out from me.” (Luke 8:46 NET)

Live like Jesus. Have divine communion with the Holy Spirit constantly. Give vent to the swelling river of living waters within you to flow out.

You are a believer. You have the heritage of power. The anointing is within you. But it is your responsibility to stir up the gifts of God within you. Do this by praying, fasting, praying in the Holy Spirit, feeding on the Word of God and exercising you spirit by taking the step of faith as the Holy Spirit leads you.

When Jesus spoke to people, they realized He spoke with authority. They also saw that His Words carried such weight as was absent in the words of the Pharisees. You see, such authority only derives from power. It is not taught. You only speak like that when there is power to back you up.

Many speak against diseases and demons from a position of spiritual weakness and ignorance. They mistake that for faith. No, true faith is based on a foundation of a deep relationship with the Word of God.
It is presumptuous and pretentious to want to exercise divine rights when you have neglected your divine responsibilities. It is your responsibility to build up yourself in the Holy Spirit and maximize the provision and supply of the Spirit to the fullest.

Live like Jesus lived and your divine immunity will be strong.
