DIVINE IMMUNITY (1)

DIVINE IMMUNITY (1)

Jesus never contracted any viral, fungal or bacterial infection, although He ministered to all kinds of sick people.

Dear Believer,

Let us talk about immunity today.

A person is said to be immune to a disease when his body has come to a state of being resistant or insusceptible to infection. So during a pandemic or an epidemic, he is exposed just like other persons to viruses, fungi or bacteria that cause infection, but he is never infected. We say of such a person that he has very strong immunity.

But that is in the physical ream.

Dear Believer, I want you to understand that you can also have spiritual immunity. Just as people build their body’s immunity by eating well, taking nutrient supplements, exercising and so on, you can also build your spiritual immunity to the extent that your spirit resists all kinds of negative ‘spiritual infection.’

Another good thing about spiritual immunity is that it not only affects your spirit, it also defends your body.
Jesus was immune to all diseases. He never contracted any viral, fungal or bacterial infection, although He ministered to all kinds of sick people. In those days, lepers were required by law to live away from healthy people and to shout ‘Unclean, unclean!’ when the moved so that people could keep their distance from them. However, when lepers came to Jesus, He didn’t, avoid them.

Now a leper came to him and fell to his knees, asking for help. “If you are willing, you can make me clean,” he said.

Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing. Be clean!”

The leprosy left him at once, and he was clean. Mark 1:40-42.

Jesus touched the leper! Instead of Jesus catching the disease, the leper caught the power! That is the power of divine immunity and overflowing life.

Dear Believer, don’t say it could only happen with Jesus. Your own body, which is the ‘temple of the Holy Spirit,’ can be saturated with God’s power, too. That’s the way Jesus wants you to live.

Jesus touched the leper! Instead of Jesus catching the disease, the leper caught the power! That is the power of divine immunity and overflowing life.

You must start living by building your spirit. For instance, when you meditate on God’s word day and night as scripture commands, something is pouring into your Spirit that is toxic to evil. In Jude 1:20, you are told to live by “building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” A life consistently lived in the Spirit will ensure that you are supercharged with the life of God and any evil that touches you die on contact.

Some Believers think it is enough to confess that Satan or diseases cannot touch them. But your confession must be based on something solid, otherwise it is empty and devoid of power. When David declared that he would defeat Goliath, he wasn’t boasting or merely psyching himself up; he based his confession on a solid relationship with God, having started to experience divine power.

Do not take your spiritual exercises lightly. It isn’t enough to be born again. Feed your spirit every time with the Word of God. Stay plugged in to God’s power by praying in the Holy Spirit always. Consistently practise setting time apart to maximize the presence of God. Do not let the cares of this world suck you dry or drain you of divine virtue.

No matter how careful you are in a pandemic, at some point you may come in contact with an airborne disease or a person who is infected with a communicable disease. When you are full of power and faith, your divine immunity is automatically activated to destroy the evil “according to the power that worketh in us.” (Rf. Ephesians 3:20).

The is part of the heritage of the Believer. It is yours, too.

Do have a good day!

Your friend
Deon.
