COMFORT OTHERS AND BE COMFORTED

COMFORT OTHERS AND BE COMFORTED

We are to be channels of divine comfort to one another and we are to always edify or another.

1Thesalonians 5:11 KJV
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Dear Believer,

You have probably noticed that the amount of love in the world has greatly diminished. There is so much competition, hate and selfishness. That shouldn’t be surprising to the Believer since that is the nature of the world.

Among Believes, the story should be different. We are to be channels of divine comfort to one another and we are to always edify or another.

To comfort your Believing brother or sister is to make them experience the joy of the Lord. To edity them is to strengthen them either by word or action.

Biblical Christianity is not designed to be be experienced alone. A so-called believer who feels irritated by the presence of other believers is a strange thing indeed. True Christianity seeks to fellowship with other Believers, to give and receive comfort and edification.

Hebrews 10:25 KJV
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Believer, understand that the Spirit you received from Jesus is a spirit of peace and comfort. Do not ever be instrumental in the discouragement or condemnation of other people. Do not be eager to ‘call out’ other Believers’ errors but be an instrument of reconciliation and restoration.

Any Believer who notices that they are somewhat happy when other Believers fall or are disgraced needs to seek urgent help from the Holy Spirit. You are a Believer; you build people, not pull them down.

As you worship the Lord today with your brethren, do all you can to speak joy into other Believers’ lives. Encourage the discouraged. Seek out those who are sliding back. Pray for the sick and strengthen the weak.

You are a Believer, and that is your calling.

Have a great week.
